Why I Run

“I am running for the next fifty years of Cape Cod’s future. For the next fifty years of Cape Cod’s workforce. For the next fifty years of Cape Cod’s young families.

I am running for the individual who immigrated to the United States for a better life and found their first steps at Cape Cod Community College. I am running for the young kid whose family cannot help them financially with college, so they attend Cape Cod Community College to achieve a two year degree debt free. I am running for the individual who lost their job and are now struggling to make ends meet, but despite all of the odds, they commit themselves to their education in order to build a better life for themselves. I am running for the single mother who works two jobs, raises three kids and still manages to achieve high honors as she works to become a nurse.

This is why I run, and I hope this will also be your WHY when you make a donation to my race for the Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation.”
